Creative
Well one of my new years resolutions (2011) was to do something creative each month, well after 3 months on the Shillington Graphic design course which was great and I learnt loads. However If I am truethful any creative bone or creative inclination I did posses totally disappeared… August was a creative washout… :( Sadly followed by September, October, November and it looks like December is tagging along! :(… August, the month began and I didn’t wanting to do anything, the very thought of actually having to do something creative made me want to run and hide under my duvet forever… I even went up to Alnwick for a long weekend and didn’t go to the beach – got really sick and spent 3 days in bed!!! As August neared the...

March creativity
I set myself a goal this year and that was to do something different and creative each month… March’s creative task, I joined one of the Bay Tree Cottage workshops Celebration Cakes, demonstration and tuition by Sarah Hollowell from Goody’s Cake Company. Well its been hard work but lots and lots of fun, here are some photos of my celebration cake :) Cake with pearling! Yellow Roses made by my fair hand!! Butterfly runouts :) Cake with supports in ready for top cake to sit on top… yes I know that they are not centred I wanted the top cake to sit to the back giving me this banana moon shape at the front. Now for the top tear on and pearling… and butterflies… It isn’t really finished quite the way I had...
Birthday Girl
Its my baby’s birthday… ‘mum I am not a baby!’ is always the response I get when I call her “my baby” and no she is not a baby but she will always be my baby :) Love you darling…
Matcha Tea
In addition to the tea ordered in my first teapigs order I ordered from them the new miracle tea Matcha Tea… and wow honestly I love it :) So far I have only tried it with fresh squiched orange juice (foj) and cranberry juice – personally I prefer it with foj… If you are thinking of buying the matcha kit from teapigs … it is a lovely kit and comes beautifully packaged… if money is high on the agenda for you I would maybe just buy the matcha tea and look else where for a cheap milk frother but I have had a quick search and not sure you can find them much cheaper than the £7.50 price increase for the set… and I do seriously think the frother is what you need to mix the matcha tea (which is ground to a powder) which is a...
Teapig arrival

So-long January…
Well we are nearly at the end of the first month of 2011 what can i say… but I love this.. ‘Any month that starts with a hangover, followed by a diet and hideous credit card bills, doesn’t have a lot going for it…’ (sadly not my witty remarks but something i read by Lindsay Nicholson Editorial Director of Good housekeeping magazine), that said I have made it through and had a pretty good month – I am really hoping that it is only gonna get better from here on in … but as I keep reading and hearing people say on the radio etc… my life is what ‘I’ make it and how determined I am to make it…. and I am still feeling pretty positive so … bring on February :)
